Four commercial planes that took off from John F Kennedy international Airport on Thursday night were targeted by green lasers while flying over Long Island at an altitude of about 8,000 feet. The planes - American Airlines 185, Shuttle America 4213, Delta 2292 and Delta 2634 - were about four miles from Farmingdale when they were targeted between 9.30 and 10pm.
