"You're Gonna Die Up There" Delta Plane Headed From Beijing To Seattle Makes Emergency Landing On Tiny Alaska Island After Engine BLOWS UP!

Delta plane headed from Beijing to Seattle makes emergency landing on tiny Alaska three by four mile island after engine goes out

A Delta flight headed to Seattle was forced to make an emergency landing on a small Alaskan island on Christmas Eve.   Nearly 200 passengers were on the flight from Beijing to Seattle that was forced to make the unscheduled stop at Shemya, Alaska.   'Delta apologizes for the delay to our customers after flight 128 from Beijing to Seattle diverted to Shemya, Alaska, due to a potential engine issue,' Delta spokesman Drake Castaneda said to USA TODAY. 'The safety of our customers and crew is always Delta's top priority. Delta dispatched an alternate aircraft to continue the flight to Seattle.'   No injuries were reported in the emergency landing.   Delta sent a new crew to operate the new aircraft and also sent technicians and customer service agents.    A few people from the flight took to their social media to share what was happening while they tried to make the journey to Seattle.   Source
