AirAsia flight makes emergency landing in Ho Chi Minh City after passenger USB battery explodes
AirAsia flight #AK130 was forced to make an emergency landing in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday after a passenger’s external battery exploded on board, leaving one victim severly burned.
Flight #AK130 was on its way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Hong Kong on Wednesday afternoon when a portable power bank being used by a Chinese national to charge a mobile phone exploded.
The crew contacted Tan Son Nhat International Airport immediately following the incident, at around 5:25 pm, and requested an emergency landing, according to the airdrome’s duty chief.
The aircraft was granted approval to land on runway 25L/07R and, after touching down, made its way to arpon No. 63.
The injured passenger received immediate medical assistance from Tan Son Nhat’s emergency medical team upon the plane’s landing and was transferred to Cho Ray Hospital in District 5, eight kilometers from the airport, for burn treatment that evening.
According to doctors at Cho Ray Hospital, the Chinese patient, 26, sustained burns covering over 12 percent of the body, including his left hand, left leg, left buttock, and left thigh. Source
Remains of six passengers from helicopter that crashed in Hawaii are found with seventh person presumed dead as lawmaker warns the tour aircraft are not safe
The remains of six of the seven passengers who went missing after a helicopter crashed in Hawaii have been found. The seventh body is presumed dead and authorities will return to the island Saturday to locate the final body. Poor weather and fog are preventing rescuers from going back to crash seen on Friday. 'There are no indications of survivors,' said Kauai Fire Department Battalion Chief Sol Kanoho. Hawaiian officials revealed Friday that the seven missing people in the tour helicopter that crashed were from two separate families, while the state's congressman blasted the tour industry for its poor safety record. News of the wrecked helicopter and missing people on the island of Kauai spread on Thursday after the aircraft was reportedly late arriving back at its home base. A tour helicopter carrying seven passengers was traveling through one of the most rugged and remote coastlines in Kauai when it failed to return to its home base that evening. Rescue and search teams began looking for the passengers, including two minors, but have yet to locate any survivors. Reports say the helicopter was leaving the Waimea Canyon area, known as the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific,' before the group lost contact. Source

Severe flooding forces Fort Lauderdale Airport to CLOSE as overnight storms batter Florida bringing travel misery for Christmas travelers heading home
Overnight storms caused flooded roads and closed an airport in Florida on Monday as travelers battled to make their way home for the holiday season. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport shut down its operations before 4am as heavy flooding grounded flights and made roads around the building impassable. Arlene Statchell a spokesman with Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport told WSVN: 'The airport was closed for a couple of hours due to the overnight rain that caused flooding, not only on the airport roadways, but on sections of the air fields. 'We are advising travelers to check with their airlines to make sure they have the latest flight information before heading out and, obviously, if you’re picking up or dropping off people, to just prepare and give yourself enough time to get here.' On Monday afternoon, the airport had recorded 383 flight delays and eight cancellations. Long lines of travelers could be seen waiting as people struggled to get to the airport due to the inclement weather. 'I just got an email saying that it’s delayed until 6.45,' said one traveler. 'We left early enough in the day that I didn’t expect it at all,' another traveler told 7News. Jonathan Libertoff, who was travelling to New York from the airport, told the outlet: 'The shuttle buses for the rental cars were also stuck in the floods so you can’t even get to the terminals. 'You gotta walk about half a mile to get to the terminals, but at least it’s not cold out like in New York.' Source

Boeing fires CEO Dennis Muilenburg over 737 MAX crisis and a day after Starliner spacecraft mission aborted - as shares in company rise 3% in early trading
Boeing has fired its CEO Dennis Muilenburg following a year of intense scrutiny and industrial setbacks set off by twin fatal crashes of its 737 MAX jetliner. Chairman David Calhoun will serve as CEO and president, effective January 13, the company said Monday. The decision was announced just a day after an aborted flight to the International Space Station that threatened to derail the company's effort to launch astronauts for NASA next year. Minutes after the Starliner took off from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Friday, a software glitch caused the spacecraft to launch into the wrong orbit, prompting officials to route it back to Earth instead of continuing on to the ISS.

Navy Pilot Who Filmed the ‘Tic Tac’ UFO Speaks: ‘It Wasn’t Behaving by the Normal Laws of Physics’
In the 15 years since Chad Underwood recorded a bizarre and erratic UFO — now called “the Tic Tac,” a name Underwood himself came up with — from the infrared camera on the left wing of his F/A-18 Super Hornet, he’s become a flight instructor, a civilian employee in the aerospace industry, and a father. But he has not yet spoken publicly about what he saw that day, even now, two years after his video made the front page of the New York Times. As he explained before speaking with Intelligencer, Underwood has mostly wanted to avoid having his name “attached to the ‘little green men’ crazies that are out there.”
The story of the Tic Tac begins around November 10, 2004, when radar operator Kevin Day first reported seeing odd and slow-moving objects flying in groups of five to ten off of San Clemente Island, west of the San Diego coast. At an elevation of 28,000 feet, moving at a speed of approximately 120 knots (about 138 miles per hour), the clusters were too high to be birds, too slow to be conventional aircraft, and were not traveling on any established flight path, at least according to Day.
In a military report made public by KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, Day would later observe that the objects “exhibited ballistic-missile characteristics” as they zoomed from 60,000 feet to 50 feet above the Pacific Ocean, alarmingly without producing sonic booms. All told, radar operators with the Princeton spent about two weeks attempting to figure out what the objects were, a process that included having the ship’s radar system shut down and recalibrated to make sure that the mysterious radar returns were not not false positives, or “ghost tracks.”Source

Article 4. Whether our atmosphere is the demons' place of punishment?
Objection 1. It would seem that this atmosphere is not the demons' place of punishment. For a demon is a spiritual nature. But a spiritual nature is not affected by place. Therefore there is no place of punishment for demons.
Objection 2. Further, man's sin is not graver than the demons'. But man's place of punishment is hell. Much more, therefore, is it the demons' place of punishment; and consequently not the darksome atmosphere.
Objection 3. Further, the demons are punished with the pain of fire. But there is no fire in the darksome atmosphere. Therefore the darksome atmosphere is not the place of punishment for the demons.
On the contrary, Augustine says (Gen. ad lit. iii, 10), that "the darksome atmosphere is as a prison to the demons until the judgment day."
I answer that, The angels in their own nature stand midway between God and men. Now the order of Divine providence so disposes, that it procures the welfare of the inferior orders through the superior. But man's welfare is disposed by Divine providence in two ways: first of all, directly, when a man is brought unto good and withheld from evil; and this is fittingly done through the good angels. In another way, indirectly, as when anyone assailed is exercised by fighting against opposition. It was fitting for this procuring of man's welfare to be brought about through the wicked spirits, lest they should cease to be of service in the natural order. Consequently a twofold place of punishment is due to the demons: one, by reason of their sin, and this is hell; and another, in order that they may tempt men, and thus the darksome atmosphere is their due place of punishment.
Now the procuring of men's salvation is prolonged even to the judgment day: consequently, the ministry of the angels and wrestling with demons endure until then. Hence until then the good angels are sent to us here; and the demons are in this dark atmosphere for our trial: although some of them are even now in hell, to torment those whom they have led astray; just as some of the good angels are with the holy souls in heaven. But after the judgment day all the wicked, both men and angels, will be in hell, and the good in heaven.
Reply to Objection 1. A place is not penal to angel or soul as if affecting the nature by changing it, but as affecting the will by saddening it: because the angel or the soul apprehends that it is in a place not agreeable to its will.
Reply to Objection 2. One soul is not set over another in the order of nature, as the demons are over men in the order of nature; consequently there is no parallel.
Reply to Objection 3. Some have maintained that the pain of sense for demons and souls is postponed until the judgment day: and that the beatitude of the saints is likewise postponed until the judgment day. But this is erroneous, and contrary to the teaching of the Apostle (2 Corinthians 5:1): "If our earthly house of this habitation be dissolved, we have a house in heaven." Others, again, while not admitting the same of souls, admit it as to demons. But it is better to say that the same judgment is passed upon wicked souls and wicked angels, even as on good souls and good angels.
Consequently, it must be said that, although a heavenly place belongs to the glory of the angels, yet their glory is not lessened by their coming to us, for they consider that place to be their own; in the same way as we say that the bishop's honor is not lessened while he is not actually sitting on his throne. In like manner it must be said, that although the demons are not actually bound within the fire of hell while they are in this dark atmosphere, nevertheless their punishment is none the less; because they know that such confinement is their due. Hence it is said in a gloss upon James 3:6: "They carry fire of hell with them wherever they go." Nor is this contrary to what is said (Luke 8:31), "They besought the Lord not to cast them into the abyss"; for they asked for this, deeming it to be a punishment for them to be cast out of a place where they could injure men. Hence it is stated, "They [Vulg. 'He'] besought Him that He would not expel them [Vulg. 'him'] out of the country" (Mark 5:10).

Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft may have failed a key test by flying into the wrong orbit
Boeing’s spacecraft Starliner did not achieve the proper orbit it needed to reach the International Space Station, shortly after the capsule launched from Florida early Friday morning. NASA ended the webcast of the mission earlier than expected as Boeing attempted to find a solution, saying there will be more updates soon. NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine said in a tweet that flight controllers were “working the issue.” “Starliner in stable orbit. The burn needed for a rendezvous with the ISS did not happen. Working the issue,”
Bridenstine said. Bridenstine added in another tweet that more information would be available at a 9 a.m. ET press conference. It’s unclear whether Starliner will still be able to reach the space station. No people are on board the capsule, as the flight was planned to be one of the final key tests before Starliner flies NASA astronauts. The spacecraft launched at 6:36 a.m. ET on top of an Atlas V rocket built by United Launch Alliance (ULA), the joint venture of Boeing and Lockheed Martin. Issues with Starliner come as Boeing grapples with the fallout from two fatal crashes of its 737 Max commercial jetliner, arguably the largest scandal in the company’s history. The two crashes -- which killed 346 people -- have embroiled Boeing in a government-wide review of its engineering practices as well as how the Federal Aviation Administration reviews aircraft.Boeing said earlier this month that it will suspend production of its best-selling aircraft at least through January as the FAA’s investigation into the 737 Max continues. Russian long-range bomber crash-lands in rural area after suffering engine malfunction during training mission
A long-range Russian bomber has crash-landed in the country's south after suffering an engine malfunction, the defence ministry has said.
The Tu-22M3 bomber, known by its NATO code-name Backfire, landed on its belly in the Astrakhan region, 780 miles south of Moscow, on Monday.
Two crewmen brought the bomber down in a field away from major towns and cities and were not seriously hurt in the crash, a government spokesman said. The bomber was taking part in a training mission and was not armed at the time of the crash, the spokesman added. Supersonic Tu-22M3 bombers entered active service in 1989 as an updated version of the Cold War-era Tu-22M, which began flying missions in 1972.

EL AL Boeing 787 flight #LY21 has hit a power pole at Las Vegas Airport
An El Al Boeing Dreamliner 787 hit a power pole at Las Vegas Airport on Saturday, causing severe damage to one of the wings, in addition to a power outage at the airport.
The El Al Dreamliner (reg. 4X-EDH) flew Friday night from Ben-Gurion Airport, landing in Las Vegas.
An investigation found that following the landing, airport employees allegedly refused to wait and guide the towing of the plane towards the jet bridge. This ultimately caused the plane to strike an electric pole.
Due to the damage caused to the year-old airplane, it was grounded for repairs, leading to disruption to El Al’s flight schedule in the upcoming weeks. The plane was inducted into service in August 2017 as part of a plan to renew the company’s aging fleet of Boeing 747s and 767s.
In response to the incident, El Al said that the flight from Las Vegas to Tel Aviv was cancelled as a result of the damage to the aircraft. Passengers were informed and provided with alternative flights to their destinations. El Al also issued an apology for the incident and “the unpleasantness caused to our customers.” Source

Here read from St. Thomas Aquinas on where Demons reside...
