Jet2 Flight #LS922 Departed From Dalaman In Turkey To Manchester Has Just Been Escorted By RAF Typhoons To London Stansted Due To A Bomb Threat


A jet2 flight from Dalaman to Manchester diverted to London Stansted due to a bomb threat. 

Jet2 flight #LS922 departed from Dalaman in Turkey to Manchester. 

UPDATE The aircraft is taxiing to the terminal, end of incident. 
UPDATE Dozens of emergency vehicles are waiting at Stansted Airport. 
UPDATE First picture from the scene. The Jet2 A321 is being inspected by police in a remote area at London Stansted. 
UPDATE Jet2 confirmed AIRLIVE that flight LS922 from Dalaman to Manchester diverted to London Stansted this evening under the direction of UK Air Traffic Control. 
UPDATE The airliner landed at 21.22 local time and is now parked in a remote area at London Stansted. 

Two RAF Typhoons were scrambled from RAF Coningsby to intercept the Airbus A321-200 (reg. G-HLYB) North of London on its way to Manchester. Flight operations were halted during landing. A tanker has took off from RAF Brize Norton to support the fighter jets.
