"You're Gonna Die Up There" Cambridge Student Alana Cutland Jumps Out Plane To Her Death.....'Me, Plane, Home'

'Me, plane, home': Cambridge student Alana Cutland mumbled a confused message to her mother during a distressing phone call shortly before jumping to her death from plane in Madagascar

The Cambridge University student who plunged 5,000ft to her death from a plane over Madagascar mumbled 'me, plane, home' on the phone to her mother minutes before it took off, a friend has revealed. Alana Cutland, 19, had fallen ill during her dream trip to the island to research rare blue crab and had reluctantly agreed to cut short the trip and return home at her parents' request. The student from Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, broke open the plane's door and threw herself out after fighting off the pilot and fellow British passenger Ruth Johnson, who clung on to her legs above the East African island's vast jungle. A friend has now said she had an upset final phone call to her mother before the plane left the tarmac, as she mumbled: 'Me, plane, home.' Source
